Divine Mercy News

Join area Catholics in celebrating the Divine Mercy of our Risen Lord!

“St Patrick Catholic Church in Urbana cordially invites the faithful in the Champaign-Urbana vicinity to participate in our celebration of Divine Mercy at 2:30 pm on Divine Mercy Sunday,

April 8.  The Sunday after Easter has been named Divine Mercy Sunday to highlight the mercy and love of Jesus. St. Faustina Kowalska, the saint to whom Jesus revealed the image of Divine Mercy, shares in her diary that this Octave Day of Easter is chosen by Christ as a day of extraordinary graces—a complete outpouring of His mercy upon all who approach him with great trust and expectant faith.

Our Divine Mercy celebration will include:  Adoration, reflection on God’s mercy by Father Luke Spannagel, praying the Divine Mercy Chaplet at 3:00 pm, as well as an opportunity for the sacrament of Reconciliation.

Please join us in this marvelous feast of God’s gladsome and enduring Love!”

Sunday April 8 @ 2:30 pm     St. Patrick Catholic Church—708 W. Main St. in Urbana (main parking lot on the north side of the church building)
